One Day at a Time

I have had a hard time living. It is not that I have had a hard live. No. My life has been easy. Too easy. It is sad for me to look back and go “wow, that was easy”. Not because it was easy but because when you have an easy life for the first 20 years after which you enter “the real world” and things don’t seem so easy. I guess the question is was life really easy those first 20 years or were you just not really living.

I recently watched a documentary by Ben Stein named “EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed”. It is very interesting to say the least. It is about Intelligent Design or ID. It starts out with Ben talking about how he has always had great respect for science and never realized there was such a big issue between religion and science. He soon finds out that the freedom of new ideas in science is being cutoff. He finds many people who have been fired for just mentioning ID. He also spends a lot of time on Darwinism and Evolution. The best part is when one guy suggests that the first cell grew “on the backs of crystals.” I think everyone should take a look so I won’t give anymore away but it really is moving.

I have been having a hard time lately with life. It seems so hopeless. The world is going down hill fast and it seems I am to small to stop this avalanche of moral decline. I go to work and people just don’t care. How do you get motivated when everyone around you isn’t? What can you feed off of?

Ben Stein really challeges everyone to stand up and be heard. Can he really do it all? Can I make a difference? I think the real answer is we all need to let God do what he does best through us, the impossible. This movie has revived a fighting Spirit in me and I hope I can snap out of this acoma I am in and follow this old path I once knew so well.
