Movies, Lots of Movies

I got really bored over the weekend so I moved my TV in my room, big mistake, and watched a few movies. Most of which were old and all I got at RedBox.

Surrogates

Good Movie. I figured out one of the “twists” but it was pretty obvious. It had the feeling of I, robot with the futuristic feeling of Minority Report.

Valkyrie

Lacking in Action. There was some heart pumping parts and the story alone was enough to keep me watching. But, as I said, I was bored. It was based on a true story so it’s not like they could have really Killed Hitler, since he committed suicide in real life.

The Informant!

There were some funny moments in this movie. As with all movies about people trying to be spies but have no idea what their doing. It’s hard to explain why this movie wasn’t good without giving to much away. I don’t recommend it…see the trailer, it’s all the funny your going to get from this movie.

Inglorious Bastards

I didn’t realize this was a Quentin Tarantino film. I really enjoyed Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. This film felt a lot like Pulp Fiction but I also felt like I was watch and M. Night Shyamalan movie. It had a lot of long shots with no cuts. It also feels like the camera is breaking the rules, not sure how else to explain it. If they share nothing else, Tarantino and Shyamalan are both indie film makers at heart. At first I was annoyed with all the dialog, the first chapter has a lot, but as with Pulp Fiction there is more then one story going on here. I really liked how it ended, it just made sense (for a Tarantino film anyways).

I am working on a new project that I am going to write a series of blog posts on. More on that soon™.
